Would you work without a contract abroad in vague terms and promised a good salary?
The National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, the Ministry of Interior and the Embassy of the Netherlands organize a final conference under the MATRA project "Trafficking in Human Beings in Bulgaria and the Netherlands – Common efforts for counteraction 2009-2010" on 21 December 2010 from 13.00h at the Council of Ministers, "Granite Hall". At the meeting will be presented the results of the project, the good practices and feedback and will be shared proposals for future cooperation.
Welcoming speeches will be held by Mr. Tsvetan Tsvetanov - Deputy Prime Minister of Bulgaria, Minister of the Interior and Chairperson of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Mr. Fredrik Teeven - State Secretary of Security and Justice, Mr. Vesselin Vuchkov – Deputy-Minister of the Interior and Member of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and H. E. Ambassador Karel Van Kesteren – Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. On Bulgarian side, the participants will include Mrs. Daniela Masheva – Deputy-Minister of Justice, Mrs. Antoaneta Vassileva – Secretary of the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings, Mr. Evgeny Dikov - Prosecutor at the Supreme Cassation Prosecution, Chief Inspector Svetlozar Georgiev - Directorate for Countering Organized and Serious Crime, Ministry of the Interior, representatives of main institutions and organizations in the country which work in the field of combating human trafficking. Representatives of the Netherlands will be Mr. Gert Van Der Burg – Chief Public Prosecutor at the Dutch national Prosecutor's Office, Mrs. Dettmeijer-Vermeijer – National Rapporteur on Trafficking in Human Beings, Mr. Nuijten – Project Leaders, representatives of prosecution and police services
During the conference there will be a presentation of a documentary on the challenges and the cooperation between Bulgaria and the Netherlands. The main goal of the MATRA project "Trafficking in Human Beings in Bulgaria and the Netherlands – Common efforts for counteraction 2009-2010" is to improve the cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating trafficking in human beings at operational level as well as in the area of prevention and protection of victims. Partners in the project are the National Commission for Combating Trafficking in Human Beings and Ministry of the Interior - Directorate for Countering Organized and Serious Crime within the Chief Directorate Criminal Police, the Dutch Agency for International Business and Co-operation, Unit for International Public Co-operation and Department of International Police Cooperation (IPOL) from the Netherlands Police Agency (KLPD).
