Would you work without a contract abroad in vague terms and promised a good salary?

01 empty lionsThis conference will focus on human trafficking for labour exploitation, which is one of the most widespread, yet least prosecuted, forms of trafficking in human beings. Moreover, people trafficked for labour exploitation are too rarely identified as victims of a serious crime and human right's violations.

The conference will reconfirm and strengthen the Alliance at the highest level, extend its membership to respond to trafficking in human beings as modern-day slavery on a massive scale, and address the new challenging aspects of the phenomenon. New partners including human rights organizations, trade unions, migrant worker associations, employer organizations and the private sector will be invited to join efforts in the Alliance to promote and protect the rights of women, men and children, so as to tackle human trafficking in the OSCE region.

The overall aim of this event is to advance the implementation of OSCE anti-trafficking commitments and other relevant international obligations. To this end, the conference will provide an excellent forum for gathering expertise, exchanging good practises, enhancing dialogue between national authorities and other stakeholders dealing with this issue in the OSCE region. The conference will also contribute to recommendations on what can be done to tackle the issue of trafficking for labour exploitation, bearing in mind our legal obligations, political commitments, and our experience at national and international level.

The draft agenda is available here: Draft_Agenda_Alliance.pdf and also on OSCE website.
